Norms: Separate norm tables for boys and girls based on scores of 1305 boys
and 1222 girls from city, county and sectarian schools.

Time:
Approximately 10 - 15 minutes.
Scoring: Hand-scoring is accomplished through the use of overlay keys placed over the completed Form and recording the marked behavior descriptions on the Diagnostic Form.

The Bristol Social Adjustment Guides (BSAG) are designed to detect behavior disturbance and to diagnose its nature and extent. The Guides are concerned with behavior as it can be observed rather than with inferences based on projective techniques or statements from the subject about how he/she behaves. The Guides are designed to be as free as possible from the unreliability of personal judgement, offering a means for the systematic recording of the behavior of children between the ages of 5 and 16 for the assessment of social adjustment. An overall assessment of maladjustment may be obtained as well as sub-scores in the following diagnostic categories:
