EdITS is involved in several ongoing research projects. In an effort to update and revise test items, as well as reconfirm technical data, we are gathering information on various instruments. Below are descriptions of current projects. A convenient response card is provided below if you are interested in participating.
Mood Survey We are in the process of developing a new mood state inventory and need to gather data on college and outpatient samples as well as teen samples. This new inventory consists of a check list of 84 items that we plan to shorten to about 40 items. Examinees will receive a printout of results based on preliminary data. COPS-R The COPS-R is an alternate form of the COPS Interest Inventory. The COPS-R measures interests for examinees at the sixth grade reading level with gender balanced norms. A new version of the COPS-R contains updated items reflecting the most current occupations. We invite interested groups of all ages and educational levels to participate in the norming of this revision. Examinees will receive a printout of results based on preliminary data. Spanish COPES Although preliminary data has been collected, we are currently collecting new norms for the Spanish COPES. Like the English version, the Spanish COPES measures values as they relate to the COPSystem Career Clusters. EdITS already publishes Spanish versions of the COPS Interest Inventory and CAPS ability battery and we invite you to participate in this norming project.
