Research Update-
An Opportunity to Participate

Research plays an important part in our commitment to provide high quality assessment instruments. In an effort to update and revise test items, as well as reconfirm technical data, we are gathering information on various instruments. If you would like to participate in any of the projects outlined below, please call us at 800-416-1666 or e-mail us at: customerservice@edits.net.

COPS-R
The COPS-R is an alternative form of the COPS Interest Inventory. The COPS-R has gender-balanced norms and is appropriate for individuals at a sixth grade reading level. The new version of the COPS-R has updated items. We invite interested middle and high school groups to participate in the norming of the revision. Students will receive a printout of results based on preliminary data.

DOSC-W Adult Workers
The DOSC-W is an adult version of the Dimensions Of Self-Concept. This instrument is designed to help workers evaluate their feelings toward work and to act as a tool for fostering cooperation in the workplace. We are collecting normative data and are looking for employed or previously employed adults to complete the assessment.

I-7 Impulsiveness Questionnaire
The I-7 was developed to measure willingness to engage in impulsive, "risk-taking" behavior. Recently, normative data were gathered in the U.K. We are currently seeking to establish norms for a U.S. population. This instrument is suitable for use with adolescents and adults.

New Mood State Inventory
We are in the process of developing a completely new mood state inventory and need to gather data on college samples and outpatient samples as well as teen samples. This new inventory consists of a checklist of 84 items that we plan to shorten to about 40 items. We would like to collect these data as soon as possible.

Spanish COPES
The most recent version of the COPES work values survey is translated into Spanish and ready for a trial run. Our research will confirm the feasibility of this version of the COPES. We need Spanish speaking/reading students to complete the instrument.

CPS Short Form for Employees
We would like to collect data for the CPS Short Form which is a 100-item inventory. The scales measured on the CPS are Trust vs. Defensiveness, Social Conformity vs. Rebelliousness,
Emotional Stability vs. Neuroticism, Mental-Toughness vs. Sensitivity, Orderliness vs. Lack of Compulsion, Activity vs.Lack of Energy, Extraversion vs. Introversion, Empathy vs. Egocentrism,
Validity Check, and Response Bias.

For each of these on-going data collection ventures we will provide a scoring service. We would like groups of 25-75 subjects from each site and we would like to gather data as soon as possible. We are excited about the number of opportunities available through our research department and invite you to participate!
