An important task that you will need to understand when using the EdITS Assessment Platform (EAP) is how to add examinees to your groups. This will allow you to assign products to them and view their results.There are two ways to add examinees: Email an invitation or manually create the account and use a token.
The simplest way to add examinees is to send them an email invitation. You may send multiple invitations at once if you separate each email address with a comma. Invitations do not expire, and unaccepted invitations can always be revoked. Pending invitations will be displayed in the Pending Invites area.

When an invitation is accepted the examinee will automatically be assigned to the group. If your product account has been set up to automatically assign products, examinees will see a list of products and may begin taking assessments by selecting “New” in the status section.
The alternative way to add an examinee to a group is to manually create an examinee sign-in and enter a token. Examinees can create their own sign-ins or an Administrator can do this for the Examinee.
Start by creating your examinee’s sign-in by clicking on Sign Up link on the Sign In page.
From this screen select Sign Up and a sign-in creation screen will be presented.

Some products require gender, date of birth, or grade level to form the appropriate norm group comparison. The highest grade level completed should be selected.
Once a sign-in is created the examinee will be prompted to enter a token in order to join a group. The token is a unique string of text that is either automatically generated, or specified by a group administrator. Think of this token as a password to join a group. The token will remain valid until it is changed by an administrator.
Tokens are useful if the examinee does not have an email address, or you have a classroom or computer lab full of examinees. You can write the token on the board or piece of paper and have each examinee create their own sign-in. Alternatively, you can create each examinee sign-in and then type in the token for them. If you plan on creating multiple sign-ins yourself, you must sign-out of the system before you create another sign-in.
Examinees are not limited to one group. They can use multiple tokens or invites. This allows your examinees to reuse their sign-in information between semesters or sessions.
If you send an invitation to an examinee that has already created a sign-in, they simply need to click on the Sign In button. Once they sign-in they will automatically join the group.
To have an existing examinee join a group using a token, have the examinee follow the Join Account link at the bottom of their dashboard page. This will prompt them to enter a group token. They will be prevented from joining a group twice.
There are two ways to reset a password. One method is to select Forgot Password from the Sign In page. This will send a link to the email associated with this sign-in. The other method is for the administrator to reset the password for their examinee. This feature is available only on the Examinee menu selection and will send a link to the email associated with that examinee. It may be the case that the email address for the examinee is not unique and is tied to the Administrator’s account. If you are the administrator and reset the password for an examinee using this method, you will find the link in your inbox. Note that you will need to sign out of EAP before you select the link and enter the new password.
The results menu will show you a list of each of your examinees, the products associated with each examinee, the status of the products and a link to enter the CAPS Manual Speed and Dexterity score. You may filter by all the options listed on this page. For example, username, first and last name, product and status may all be filtered.

You may also navigate to the Results page from Examinee tab by selecting Results from the Action column. You will be taken to a filtered results page for the examinee selected and you can view the status options described above.
You will also find an Actions column on the Results page. “Enter the MSD” will allow you to enter the CAPS Manual Speed and Dexterity score for your examinee. “Release Results to Examinee” indicates that the results have been suppressed and by selecting this Action you may release the results, see below. A pop up alert will appear asking you to confirm that you want to release the results. Once the results have been released this action cannot be undone. You may view the results for an examinee without releasing them by selecting Pending from the Status column.
Note there are some products that may be purchased that allow the administrator to “suppress results”. In this case the examinee will not be able to view results until the admin releases the results. If your product has results suppressed there are three status options available when you want to view results.
